The following change was proposed at the February Membership Meeting and Voted on and passed at the March Membership Meeting. As you are aware, $30 of your dues payment formerly went to the land fund. After our recent purchase of the Norton Farm, we see no need for any significant land purchases in the future. With that said, both our Fish/Game account and our Capital Fund (used for property improvement projects) could use extra funding. Most members are joining to hunt Pheasants and Fish; both items of which are increasing in cost each year even with the $40 Pheasant pin. Maintain- ing our buildings and projects is also not getting any cheaper. Based on this, Presi- dent Strecker proposed allocating this amount of money between the two cost centers. The Board of Directors agreed and this proposal was presented at the February Membership Meeting. It was then voted on at the March Regular Mem- bership Meeting and was passed with no “Nay” votes. FYI, the remaining funds in the land fund still cannot be used for anything other than land purchases.
