There were 52 Pleasant stockings that took place between October 20th and December 31st, 2012. Ten (10) of these stockings took place on Rte. 72 Bristol Water Department property. Bad weather and equipment break- down cancelled or postponed only 3 stocking days.
Approximately 3, 523 birds were stocked during the Fall season at BF&G and the Rte. 72 Water Company area. The State contributed 365 Pheasants for the Rte. 72 program with our Club purchasing an additional 104 birds for the effort. Bordeaux Pheasant Farm provided 2,125 birds of which 70 died during a snow storm transport and in the holding pen prior to stocking. Sal’s Hilltop Pheasant Farm provided an additional 1,390 Pheasants.
Lastly, a total of 302 Pheasant badges were sold resulting in $12,080 in cash proceeds for the program. Badges were evenly distributed between morning and afternoon.
This was our first year as co-chairman and we’d like to thank all who helped. We had a great season! See you again this Fall!
